Beginner Pottery Course

3 sessions on Every Mon, Wed Fri

Led by Teacher Vivian Lam who has 10 years of pottery experience, assisted by Teacher Shia who has been doing pottery for 6 years.

This course will take in a maximum of 6 students to provide maximum guidance. Sign-ups will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. The course is going to be a lively, engaging experience that fosters lasting friendships and deepens connections among participants.

What's Included:

  • Six 1.5 hour sessions with Teacher Vivian

  • All necessary materials and tools provided

Session Outline:

Session 1: Learning using the slab-making method, simple sculpting and adhesion

Session 2: Learning using pinching and coiling techniques

Session 3: Combining techniques and glazing

Who Can Join:

  • Suitable for individuals aged 6-12years old

Please Note:

  • A minimum of 3 participants is required to conduct the workshop. Should we not reach this number 3 days before the workshop date, a full refund will be issued.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • More than 3 days prior: 50% refund.

    • Less than 3 days prior: No refund.

    • Cancellations or no-shows on the day of the workshop will result in forfeiture of the workshop fee. This covers material costs, preparation time, and overheads. Providing prior notice helps us manage attendance and open slots for other participants.

  • In the rare event of a session cancellation by us, participants will be informed at least 3 days in advance.

More about the Teacher

The Moon by The Sea has been created by Vivian Lam since 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Baptist University Hong Kong and has been  engaged in creating and teaching ceramics in Hong Kong and Singapore. Her work is inspired by moonlit seascapes, and the pursuit of inner peace through her pottery work and making process.
